A superb example of the Patek Philippe World Time reference 5130P in platinum, dating from circa 2008 and presented in excellent overall condition. The platinum case has been lightly polished in the past and shows only very light wear from use, retaining beautiful proportions and definition. The distinctive blue guilloché dial is flawless, as are the original hands, with the rotating city and 24-hour rings beautifully preserved. Introduced in 2006 as the successor to the reference 5110, the 5130 represents one of Patek Philippe's most elegant modern interpretations of Louis Cottier's legendary World Time complication. Its generous 39.5mm case, distinctive ring-shaped hour hand and beautifully balanced dial give the reference a particularly refined presence on the wrist. Powered by the ultra-thin automatic calibre 240 HU with micro-rotor, the watch allows the simultaneous reading of 24 time zones, with the local time and city ring conveniently adjusted through the pusher at 10 o'clock. The watch is fitted with a dark blue Patek Philippe alligator strap, replaced by Patek Philippe Japan in 2026, and its platinum deployant clasp. Although the original box and papers are no longer present, the watch benefits from excellent documented maintenance, including a complete service performed by Patek Philippe Japan in 2024, accompanied by the original service invoice, as well as a further Patek Philippe Japan invoice dated 2026 for the strap replacement. It is also accompanied by its Patek Philippe plastic service box bearing the watch's serial number. An Extract from the Archives can be ordered upon request.
