A beautifully preserved example of the Vacheron Constantin reference 6803, an oversized 36mm dress watch from the late 1960s. The stainless-steel case appears to be unpolished, and retains sharp lines and harmonious proportions — a hallmark of Vacheron’s understated elegance of the era. The original silver dial is in excellent overall condition, with a subtle partial discoloration on some of the hour markers, typical for watches of this period and adding to its vintage charm. The center-seconds layout gives the watch a clean and balanced aesthetic. The plexiglass crystal shows a few light surface scratches, again consistent with age. Recently serviced by our watchmaker, the movement runs perfectly. The watch is fitted with a brand-new calf leather strap and the original Vacheron Constantin steel buckle. An elegant and charismatic vintage Vacheron — perfectly proportioned, beautifully preserved, and a superb representative of the brand’s refined 1960s design language.
