A superb example of the Breguet Tradition reference 7027BA in 18k yellow gold, originally sold new in Japan in 2006 and offered as a complete full set. The case is in excellent overall condition and appears to remain unpolished, showing only very light wear from use and retaining its original proportions and beautiful finish. Introduced in 2005, the Tradition collection represents one of Breguet's most distinctive creations, drawing inspiration from the historic subscription watches developed by Abraham-Louis Breguet at the end of the 18th century. The reference 7027 was the very first model of the collection and is particularly remarkable for its unconventional architecture, with the movement's main components displayed on the dial side, including the large central barrel, exposed gear train and beautifully symmetrical bridges. The small off-centred guilloché dial, with its traditional Breguet hands, provides an elegant contrast to the highly technical and architectural movement beneath. The watch also features a power reserve indication, further emphasizing the mechanical character of this fascinating timepiece. The watch is fitted with an excellent green alligator strap, not signed Breguet, and its original 18k yellow gold tang buckle. The movement has been checked by our watchmaker and is performing well. A particularly attractive early example of the iconic reference 7027, combining excellent preservation, a complete original set and the fascinating historical inspiration behind one of Breguet's most important modern collections.
