A superb Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph reference 3970P, crafted in platinum and dating to 1993, representing an early third-series example. The watch was originally sold new in Geneva in 1993 and is accompanied by its original papers, Patek Philippe service invoice, booklets, and leather document holder. The platinum case is in excellent condition and has been polished only once, by Patek Philippe in 2017 during a complete service, fully documented by the accompanying Patek Philippe Paris service invoice. The case retains its excellent proportions and particularly strong, clearly defined hallmarks, which remain beautifully pronounced. The original dial and hands are in perfect condition, preserving the elegant and highly balanced configuration characteristic of the early 3970P. The black alligator band is excellent and the original platinum tang buckle is still present. The watch comes with its original Certificate of Origin and Warranty, booklets, and leather warranty/document holder. Unfortunately, the original presentation box and setting stylus are no longer present. With its early third-series configuration, Geneva provenance, strong platinum hallmarks, immaculate dial and hands, and documented Patek Philippe factory service in 2017, this 3970P represents a particularly attractive and historically important example of one of Patek Philippe's most celebrated perpetual calendar chronographs.
