A superb and particularly rare example of the Audemars Piguet Perpetual Calendar reference 25657OR in 18k rose gold, dating from the early 1990s and belonging to a production of only 362 examples in this precious metal. The rose gold case is in excellent overall condition, showing only light wear from use and retaining beautiful proportions and definition. The engravings and hallmarks on the caseback remain particularly crisp and deeply defined, reflecting the excellent preservation of the case. The original white dial is in superb condition, complemented by its original hands, all beautifully preserved. The watch is fitted with a brown leather strap, not signed Audemars Piguet, and its original 18k rose gold tang buckle. The movement is currently undergoing a full service by our watchmaker. The watch is accompanied by its original Audemars Piguet presentation box and papers, although the latter are neither dated nor stamped by the original retailer. A particularly elegant and seldom-seen example of the iconic ultra-thin perpetual calendar, combining the warmth of a rose gold case with excellent overall preservation, remarkable rarity and a highly desirable original set.
