REF: 17000
A superb example of the Rolex Oysterquartz Datejust reference 17000, originally sold new in the United States in 2001 and offered as a remarkably complete full set. The 36mm stainless steel case and distinctive integrated Oysterquartz bracelet are in very beautiful overall condition. The watch has been polished in the past, but remains extremely well preserved, with an attractive case and bracelet showing only light signs of use. The silver dial is in excellent condition, featuring applied hour markers and Super-LumiNova luminous material, complemented by matching hands. Inside is the Rolex calibre 5035 quartz movement, one of the manufacture’s most technically interesting movements and an important chapter in Rolex production history. The watch has clearly been well maintained over the years and is accompanied by several Rolex service cards documenting its continued care. Particularly appealing is the completeness of the set, including the original box and outer box, papers, Oysterquartz booklet and original Oysterquartz hang tag. Serial P738XXX. A very attractive and unusually complete example of the reference 17000, combining the unmistakable angular design of the Oysterquartz with excellent provenance, documented Rolex maintenance and a highly desirable full set.
