The present Patek Philippe Nautilus reference 3900, measuring 33 mm and executed in two-tone stainless steel and yellow gold, dates from the early 1990s and is offered in highly attractive and honest original condition. This example comes directly from its original owner, although the box and papers have unfortunately been misplaced over time. The case appears unpolished and shows wear consistent with age and careful use, retaining its original proportions and character. The bracelet remains in excellent condition with extremely little stretch and includes a generous number of links, comfortably fitting a wrist of up to approximately 18.5 cm, a particularly desirable attribute for this reference. The watch is fitted with an excellent original champagne “sigma” tritium dial, preserved in very fine condition. The tritium hour markers display attractive, even ageing, while the tritium hands have aged a few shades lighter, a natural and commonly observed phenomenon that adds to the watch’s vintage charm without detracting from its overall harmony. Powered by a quartz movement, the watch has had its battery replaced and is in perfect working order at the time of cataloguing, offering the convenience and reliability that defined Patek Philippe’s high-end quartz production of the period.
