A classic among modern Rolex sports watches, the Explorer II 16570 in its “Polar” configuration has become increasingly collectible—especially early tritium-dial examples with warm patina. This 1997 example features an excellent case that has been polished in the past and remains strong. The original white tritium dial has developed an attractive eggshell patina, with matching hands that enhance its vintage charm. The fixed steel bezel is also in very good condition, with clear engravings and minimal wear. It is fitted with its original 78790 Oyster bracelet with 501B endlinks and a Z3 clasp code. The bracelet shows very light stretch from use and remains tight and wearable. Most importantly, the watch comes with 2025 Rolex service papers, confirming its authenticity and mechanical integrity.
