An evocative and highly charismatic example of the celebrated “Disco Volante” reference 2594, this yellow-gold Patek Philippe is distinguished by its desirable double-signed dial retailed by Gobbi, Milano, one of the most important Italian Patek Philippe agents of the mid-20th century. The case appears to be unpolished, retaining a deep and clearly legible hallmark on the side of the lug at approximately 1 o’clock—an uncommon and particularly attractive attribute for this reference. While the case shows surface scratches and small nicks consistent with age and honest wear, its overall proportions and sculptural profile remain well preserved. The caseback has been polished in the past and bears an engraved monogram “AF”. The dial is in good overall condition and appears unrestored, displaying light wear around the applied hour markers and a few small marks, entirely consistent with a watch of this period. The printing remains clear, and the Gobbi signature adds a layer of historical and collectible significance. The watch is fitted with a smooth calfskin leather strap and an aftermarket buckle that is not in gold. It is accompanied by its Extract from the Archives, confirming production in 1947 and sale in June 1958. The movement is running well at the time of cataloguing.
