Rolex
Daytona 6240 With Original Papers 1967

REF: 6240

Exceptional Rolex Daytona reference 6240. The watch was sold to us by its first owner in Geneva, who received it from his mother for his 20th birthday in 1967. His mother, who was employed by Rolex at that time, benefited from a 50% discount and paid 333 CHF for this Daytona. He wore this watch very rarely and only had it serviced once in 1998, when the bracelet was replaced. The watch is in impeccable condition and has received only one polishing. It is one of the earliest Daytona 6240 ever to appear on the market, with a serial number 1.20XXXX dating the watch's production to 1965. It is equipped with a 72B movement, an MK1 bezel in perfect condition, and MK0 pushers known as "millerighe." The rare "small Daytona" dial is in perfect condition with all its luminous dots intact. The tritium hands are also in beautiful conditions. The case back is stamped 6239, which is correct. There is only one service engraving dating back to August 1998. The watch comes with its original invoice and papers stamped by Rolex S.A. The watch was delivered without a box, as specified on the invoice; we have added one. A nearly unique opportunity to acquire one of the rarest Daytona references with such provenance.
