Presented here is a refined and well-preserved example of the Rolex Day-Date reference 118235, crafted in 18k Everose gold and dating to 2009. This reference represents an important evolution of the classic Day-Date lineage, marking the introduction of Rolex’s proprietary Everose gold alloy, developed to maintain its warm tone and resist color fading over time. The classic 36mm case retains the emblematic Day-Date proportions and is fitted with the signature fluted bezel, perfectly complementing the richness of the Everose gold. This example features an attractive brown wave dial with applied rose gold Arabic numeral hour markers, offering both visual depth and excellent legibility. The day display is positioned at 12 o’clock, with the date aperture at 3 o’clock beneath the Cyclops magnifier, maintaining the iconic Day-Date layout. The dial is preserved in mint condition, while the case and bracelet show only small signs of wear consistent with careful use. The Everose gold President bracelet, reference 83205, remains in very good condition and is secured by its patented folding clasp. Powering the watch is the automatic Rolex caliber 3155, a COSC-certified movement known for its reliability and instantaneous day and date switching. The movement is running very well, with all functions operating properly, showing an amplitude of approximately 310° and an accuracy of approximately +5 seconds per day (dial up, lift angle 52). Offered with its original box and papers, this Day-Date 118235 represents a strong and well-documented example of a modern classic Rolex President, combining precious metal presence, reliable performance, and timeless Day-Date prestige.
