A beautiful Rolex Day-Date reference 1803 in 18k yellow gold, dating to 1976 and bearing serial number 4198XXX. The recently polished 18k yellow gold case is presented in excellent overall condition, retaining well-defined proportions and showing only very light signs of wear. The iconic fluted bezel is equally sharp and has also been freshly polished, complementing the elegant appearance of the watch. The highlight of this example is its attractive champagne “Minute Track” tritium dial, preserved in excellent condition with only extremely light wear for its age. The luminous hour plots have aged to a warm, creamy patina, while the original hands display a perfectly matching tone, creating a harmonious and highly desirable vintage appearance. The watch is fitted with a black crocodile leather strap showing only light signs of careful use and is secured by its original gold-plated Rolex ardillon buckle, which remains in excellent condition. There is no known service history; however, the watch is running well. Elegant, timeless, and fitted with the desirable champagne Minute Track dial, this Day-Date 1803 represents an attractive example of Rolex's iconic flagship model from the golden era of vintage Day-Date production.
