Rolex
Day-Date 1803 Rose Gold Silver Linen Dial From 1968

REF: 1803/5

CHF 29'000 .-

A beautiful and increasingly rare Rolex Day-Date reference 1803/5 in 18k rose gold, dating to 1968 and bearing serial number 1815XXX. The case remains in excellent overall condition, having been polished in the past while retaining sharp lines and strong definition throughout. It shows only very light wear from careful use. The reference and serial numbers between the lugs remain clearly visible and have not been re-engraved. A highlight of this watch is its rare and attractive silver linen tritium dial, preserved in very good condition for its age. The textured linen finish remains well defined and gives the watch a distinctive vintage character. The luminous plot at 2 o’clock is missing, while the one at 6 o’clock is partially missing, both entirely consistent with the age of the watch. The hands have been replaced during the watch's lifetime, while the original day and date discs remain present. The watch is fitted with its original 18k rose gold President bracelet, which remains in very good condition and shows only limited stretch for its age. The clasp is correctly stamped 4.68, matching the production period of the watch. There is no known service history, however the watch is running properly. Combining the warmth of a rose gold case, a rare silver linen dial, and a well-preserved original President bracelet, this Day-Date 1803/5 represents a highly attractive example of one of Rolex's most elegant vintage references.
