A beautiful vintage Rolex Day-Date reference 1803 in 18k yellow gold, dating to 1964 (serial 1077XXX). This classic 36 mm “President” features an attractive champagne no-lume dial, a configuration appreciated by collectors for its clean and elegant appearance. The dial is in excellent condition, showing a very subtle speckled patina across the surface, consistent with its age. As expected for a no-lume configuration, the dial does not feature luminous plots, giving it a very pure aesthetic. It is fitted with applied yellow gold baton hour markers and matching sword hands, both in excellent condition and showing only light wear. The classic day aperture at 12 o’clock and date window at 3 o’clock with Cyclops magnification complete the iconic Day-Date layout. The 18k yellow gold case has been recently polished and remains in excellent condition, showing only light wear. The fluted bezel is sharp and well defined. The watch is fitted with its original 18k yellow gold President bracelet, composed of 19 links, showing light to moderate stretch consistent with age and fitting wrists up to approximately 7.5 inches. A timeless example of the early Rolex Day-Date, combining the iconic President design with the rare and elegant no-lume champagne dial configuration.
