A beautiful and well-preserved Rolex Datejust Ref. 1601, serial 2.998XXX, dating to 1972. The stainless steel case is excellent and retains sharp lines, showing only light wear from use after a previous polish. The white gold fluted bezel is in equally sharp condition with minimal signs of wear. The original and rare dark grey tritium dial is flawless, with all lume plots fully intact and hands that match perfectly. Fitted with its original 6251H folded Jubilé bracelet, which shows light stretch consistent with age. The clasp is correctly stamped 4.72. The movement has just been serviced by our watchmaker and is running perfectly. An outstanding example of a classic 1601 Datejust with a highly desirable grey dial, offered in excellent overall condition.
