Presented is a refined and highly attractive example of Patek Philippe’s modern manual-winding chronograph: the reference 5170P. Crafted in platinum, this distinguished timepiece embodies the manufacture’s mastery of traditional chronograph architecture combined with contemporary elegance. The 39.4mm case offers balanced and classical proportions and appears unpolished, showing only very light signs of wear consistent with careful use, while preserving its original definition. This example dates to 2018 and was originally sold in the United States in November of that year. The striking blue dial, enhanced by baguette diamond hour markers, provides a sophisticated contrast to the discreet weight and understated sheen of the platinum case. Powering the watch is the in-house manual-winding caliber CH 29-535 PS, widely regarded as one of the finest modern chronograph movements, featuring a column wheel, horizontal clutch, and Patek Philippe’s patented tooth profiles. Offered as a full set, the watch has been checked by our watchmaker and shows no recorded service history. It is fitted with a black alligator strap in excellent condition and the original platinum deployant clasp.
