A beautiful example of the Patek Philippe Chronograph reference 5070, dating from 2002 and featuring its highly desirable black dial. The impressive 42 mm case remains in very good overall condition, showing only light surface wear consistent with careful use. The case retains excellent proportions, with its distinctive fluted details and stepped architecture remaining particularly well defined, while four crisp hallmarks are still clearly visible beneath the lugs. The superb black dial is beautifully preserved, as are the matching hands and chronograph indications. The watch is fitted with an alligator strap, complementing the elegant yet imposing proportions of this iconic manually wound chronograph. The movement is currently in good working condition and, at the time of cataloguing, all functions are operating properly. The watch is offered without its original box or papers. A very attractive and well-preserved example of the reference 5070, one of Patek Philippe’s most celebrated modern chronographs, combining its impressive 42 mm proportions, beautifully preserved black dial and classical chronograph architecture.
